Deputies with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at 3200 E. Opelousas St. Wednesday, October 4, at approximately 10:00pm. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Terren L. Zeno of Lake Charles deceased inside the residence.

Zeno died from a gunshot wound he sustained during an alleged altercation with another man, 32-year-old Partick W. Green. Detectives said the two men got into a "verbal altercation over the phone" with someone who lived at the home on 3200 E. Opelousas St.

Zeno, along with another man, drove to the home. Detectives then were advised while Zeno was arriving at the residence, another man, identified as Patrick W. Green, 32, 1403 N. Prater Street, arrived at the home. A confrontation then ensued outside the residence between the men, at which time Green entered the homeowner’s house. Zeno then attempted to force his way inside the house to continue the altercation at which time he was shot by Green. - CPSO media release.

Everyone, including the homeowner, were reportedly acquaintances.

Green has since been arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He is charged with manslaughter. His bond was set at $250,000.
