Congratulations are in order for a good friend of mine Sean Ardoin. I have known Sean since I moved here in 2001. Sean along with his father Lawrence are beacons when it comes to Zydeco music and they were initially doing a Zydeco show on the station I was coming to program. The station at the time was V107.5 and it was known for playing great R&B and classic music.

I have seen Sean go on and do great things in the community and continue keeping the Zydeco culture alive in Southwest Louisiana. When I heard that he was nominated for two Grammys, I couldn't be more happy for him. There is not a guy who works harder to be in so many places and really live behind what he believes in.

He recently released a new album called "Kreole Rock and Soul" and is produced by Aaron Lindsey who has worked with many in Gospel and R&B music. The album features 11 tracks which include Zydeco classic and a mixture of rock and soul to round out the collection.

Ardoin has been nominated for Best American Roots Performance for Kick Rocks.  Sean was also nominated for Best Regional Roots Music Album for his album Kreole Rock and Soul. The 61st annual Grammy awards take place on February 10th, 2019 and be televised on CBS.

I am sure that he is going to bring the gold home and continue to do what has to be done to keep the Zydeco Culture alive in the region. Make sure you pick up the new album and be on the look out for even more things to come this year.
