On it's current path TS Cindy is tracking to land between Beaumont, TX and Lake Charles, LA.  As I discussed in my earlier article, Cindy is lop-sided and her most potent wind and rain are on the eastern side of the storm.  Which, with her current tracking from the National Hurricane Center, puts Lake Charles on that very eastern side of the storm.

As you can see from the graphic above the deep purple of the storm, which has the highest probability of Tropical Storm force winds, is right where Lake Charles will be when the storm makes landfall.  We should be thankful that this storm will only be a Tropical Storm when it hits, but at the same time we will see the worst that Cindy has to offer.
