Today in Tha Wire it's crazy to think that it's already been 20-yrs, but it has. The iconic debut album, Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, is approaching it's 20th anniversary. To celebrate, Rolling Stone reports Lauryn Hill, is going on a nationwide tour!

Miseducation has so many accolades, historic achievements, and broken so many records it's not even funny. The album dropped in 1998, and was nominated ten times at the 1999 Grammy Awards. L Boogie walked away with five trophies that year, plus the exclusive Grammy Album of the Year award. Interestingly enough, the talented singer/songwriter/actress was very pregnant by the time her debut album was released. The LP dropped in August, and three months later L Boogie had her daughter Selah Louise Marley in November. Lauryn took a little time to enjoy her new baby, and then got busy promoting her debut opus. She actually didn't perform any of the singles live until December, when she tore the stage down with a appearance on SNL, and Billboard Music Awards. I sure remember that! It's been a minute since Lauryn's engaged on a major tour. Speaking of which, the first Miseducation of Lauryn Hill world tour was HUGE. The moment tickets went on sale, it sold out at nearly every venue. The first leg of the tour touched down in Europe at the end of January in 1999. The U.S. version took off in February, and featured Outkast. Fast Forward 20-years later, and here we go again! Rolling Stone announced Lauryn's Miseducation 20th Anniversary Tour is on the way! Tickets are on sale now, and for now there will only be one date close to home. See The Fugees legend live in New Orleans on October 3, 2018, at the Lakefront Area.
