Lil Dicky's Life Lessons Tour was supposed to be kicking off on Oct. 9 and run through Nov. 19, but the 2016 XXL Freshman has now revealed the trek has been postponed so he can focus on his upcoming television show and new album.

Dicky broke the news on Wednesday (Sept. 26), sharing a lengthy note on Twitter and Instagram. Addressed to his fansDickheadsthe rapper said he would unfortunately have to postpone the tour as he has bitten off more than he can chew.

"I really want to get my album to a place where it's pretty much done before all of season 1 of the show gets back into production," LD wrote. "Because once that gets going, I won't be able to get in the studio very much. I thought I could get to that place before this tour, but it turns out I couldn't. I just want this album to be special. I been working on it for over three years and we're getting close."

As for the fans who have already purchased tickets for Dicky's tour, the MC assures that their purchases will be fully refunded. "I weighed all of the scenarios heavily before coming to this conclusion. I didn't anticipate my work load being this much when I booked this tour," he added.

Dicky's upcoming show will be produced by FX and will be co-written by the rapper. The series is based on "a suburban neurotic man in his late 20s who has convinced himself that he's destined to be one of the best rappers of all time," which itself is partly based on LD's life.

It's been three years since the "Freaky Friday" rapper dropped his debut studio album, Professional Rapper, although he did drop the I'm Brain EP in September 2017.
