Later on, Lil Twist was pulled over by authorities on an Interstate 405 off-ramp. A photographer who spotted the vehicle aimed to a get few snaps after realizing the car's famous owner. The paparazzo, who was asked twice by police to return to his vehicle, crossed the interstate and was struck by another vehicle, leading to his death.

Bieber sent his condelences to the photographer's family today. "While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim," he said in statement.

He also made references to legislation that would protect himself and other celebrities and photographers involved in the industry. "Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves," Bieber added in his statement.
