While fans continue to wait for Lil Wayne's oft-delayed Tha Carter V, they may receive an early Christmas gift in the form of Dedication 6.

In a recent Instagram Live video, Weezy's manager, Cortez Bryant, hinted that the mixtape could drop this month, as next month would be too far away. "Maybe D6 in November, not December, that's too long," Bryant says.

While it's uncertain if Bryant is telling the truth about the release date, the project had previously been confirmed by Lil Wayne last year. Appearing at Bud Light's Party Convention in August 2016, Weezy said he was working on Dedication 6 and was trying to "find some time to get with DJ Drama" to release the project. Drama then teased the project earlier this year when he posted a photo of a sign that read "D6" on Snapchat. "New Orleans It was only right!!!! Soon....." he wrote on the picture.

In related Lil Wayne news, the New Orleans rapper has a collaboration with Kodak Black coming soon. The F.E.M.A. rapper revealed the track during a recent show. In a clip from the concert, the song can be heard playing in the background as Kodak dances around stage.
