In January Lil Wayne shocked fans when he filed a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money, claiming his mentor Birdman, owed him some major dough.  Weezy's lawsuit accused Cash Money of violating their deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars he's owed for, "Tha Carter V" and holding him hostage by refusing to release the album, for damages and more.  Now comes word, they might of worked something out.

According to theJasmineBRAND.com Wayne dropped his lawsuit yesterday (April 6), suggesting that he and Birdman may had reached some sort of settlement.   If this is true, it's a good thing.  However if things go sour again, even though the case was dismissed, Weezy can re-file if he wants to.

In other Hip Hop legal issues, also on Monday (April 6), Allhiphop.com reported DMX allegedly robbed a man at a Newark, NJ gas station.  According to their reports, a 21-year old man is behind the accusations, for now his name is being withheld.  Anyway he's claiming after having a convo with the rapper about music and such, someone in X's crew pulled a gun and told him to give up all his money.  The man then claims the 44-year rapper snatched $3,200 dollars out of his hand and drove off in one of four Escalades.

Though X is being quiet, the rapper/actors lawyer has come forward and made a statement on the matter.  AllHipHop reports Murray Richman, the lawyer for DMX said the allegations are “completely absurd” and that the man who's claiming he was robbed is just mad because DMX refused to buy drugs from him.  Listen as The Breakfast Club crew talks about the story.

Speaking on X's behalf, Richman told E! News, “He was leaving a show, a very successful show, and he stopped for gas.  Four young men approached him for a photo. They took photos and they offered [DMX] drugs. He said no and told them to go…They had an argument and next thing you know, they are accusing him of robbery. Just nonsense.”

Well we shall see soon enough. Newark Police are currently investigating the incident and word has it, they've obtained surveillance footage as well.  I'll keep you posted!
