Lil Wayne Found Unconscious In His Hotel Room – Tha Wire

Embed from Getty ImagesToday in Tha Wire Lil Wayne was hospitalized over the Labor Day weekend, after being found unconscious in his hotel room Sunday (Sept. 3.) The rap star was in Chicago at the time, and staying at the Westin on Michigan Avenue. He was rushed to Northwestern Memorial, where he received emergency care. XXL reports NOLA’s famous MC had another rash of seizures, linked to his ongoing bout with epilepsy. Weezy was apparently by himself when the seizures occurred. So it’s a good thing someone checked on him. Allhiphop reports Weezy had multiple seizures prior to being discovered in his room, and another after arriving at the hospital. So the situation was pretty serious for a minute there. The good news is…Lil Wayne’s okay now. His daughter Reginae and Young Money president Mack Maine, both took to Twitter, to give fans an update on Weezy’s condition,

TMZ reports Weezy was supposed to do a show with Rae Sremmurd, at Drai’s Beachclub in Vegas that same night. His team allegedly tried to get him discharged in time to do the show, but doctors didn’t think that was a good idea. Though Wayne was said to be feeling better, doctors supposedly advised he take it easy for a few days. So the gig in Vegas was cancelled.

It’s unclear as to whether or not Weezy is still hospitalized. Either way, we wish him the best and a speedy recovery. For all things entertainment catch Tha Wire daily for the scoop, and only on The People’s Station 107 Jamz.
