Lil Wayne Heads Out On Special “Release Partiez” Club Tour – Tha Wire

Today in Tha Wire Weezy celebrates 4 million downloads of his mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait with a new tour and will.i.am and Slick Rick launch a new line of sunglasses.

BET.com reports Lil Wayne is currently on the road doing a special "Release Partiez" tour, in honor of racking up more that 4 million downloads for his mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait. The 32-year-old Young Money king is looking to celebrate with his fans on an intimate level.  So instead of doing a stadium show, Weezy will be performing at clubs around the country.

His first stop was last week at the BLVD Nightclub in Kansas City, Mo. and tonight he'll hit the famous Club Skye in Tampa, Fla.  Of course Tunachi will do a couple of gigs here in Louisiana.  On April 5, he'll be at The Hyatt Regency in his hometown New Orleans and April 8 you can catch him in Baton Rouge at the XO Nightclub.

NOLA.com reports tickets for his New Orleans stop can be purchased through EventBrite.com and tickets for the Baton Rouge show at XO Nightclub can be purchased through the club and prices start at $50. For more details and VIP tickets, call 225-937-1090.

Before it's all said and done, Lil Wayne will bring his "Release Partiez" tour to Mississippi and Tennessee, with more dates to be added at a later time.  By the way, look for Weezy's video on the Coco remix to premiere sometime next month.
