Lil Wayne Hit With $86,000 Lawsuit By American Express

Today in Tha Wire it's more news on Lil Wayne, this time it's not exactly good news. TMZ reported earlier today that Weezy's been hit with a $86,000 lawsuit by American Express. The reason? The Young Money mogul is allegedly more than six months past due on his bill. How on earth a person with Wayne's kind of money could get that far behind on a credit card bill, is anyone's guess.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say, I seriously doubt Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. is broke. So either this story isn't exactly accurate or Weezy's accountant/management dropped the ball on paying the bill, in which case somebodies probably looking for a job right now.

Anyway, it's being reported the 33-year old rapper hasn't dropped a dime on his bill since December 2015. So the credit card giant filed papers yesterday (July 14) and is suing to recover the full balance of $86,396, plus legal fees.

Finally, congratulations to Beyonce! Girlfriend is kicking down the door everywhere she goes. So here's another "W" for her haters to be mad at...she was recently nominated for an Emmy! Yaaaaas! Bey was nominated for her directing skillz in the groundbreaking HBO film, Lemonade.

Staying true to her tradition Beyonce shocked the nation when she premiered Lemonade April 23, along with the release of her album with the same name. Mrs. Carter received a nod for, Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Production Design For A Variety, Nonfiction, Event Or Award Special and Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming. She's a boss!

However it wont be no easy win. She'll have some stiff competition as Queen Bey will go up against British Soul Singer Adele and her phenomenal film, Adele Live in New York City. Congrats and best wishes to them both!
