Today marks eight years since we lost one of the realest artist to ever touch a microphone. Pimp C, who alot of folks knew a Chad Butler passed away in a Los Angeles hotel on this date. This date really hits home for me, because I was suppose to do an interview with him to promote a concert later that week that he was going to be doing in Lake Charles.

Mama Wes who was a very lovely person and his mother as well called me on the request line on December 3rd. She was calling me to set up a time for Pimp C to call and do an interview with me. Not only was he going to be promoting the concert, but also new music as well. When I heard that he had passed later it kind of hit home. I had never met him, but I loved to see him in interview and his production was top notch. Well today legendary producer Mr. Lee and the widow of Pimp C's Chinara Butler are releasing a collection of unreleased music featuring some of today's hot artist from Lil Wayne to Ty Dolla Sign call "Long Live The Pimp"

I have heard some of the tracks from the album and I have to say that this is the truth. While we miss some of the random adlibs that we have grown accustomed to from Pimp, the album makes up for it with features from hot artist and great production. Check out a few classic joints from the creator of country rap tunes.
