It's hard to believe, but Christmas is only four months away.  So no better time then now to release the perfect stocking stuffer.   Mariah Carey has turned her hit Christmas song 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' into a delightful children's book.  TheBoomBox reports the songstress said when she wrote the song, she wanted it to become a classic.

A classic is exactly what it is!  If MiMi's book gets half the traction the single did, it too, will become a classic as well. The famous singer/actress explained why she decided to turn the song into a book, saying, “I am so proud of the song’s impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year. I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families with the picture book.”

By the way, the book will also feature the complete lyrics of Mariah’s bestselling holiday song.  Like the song, the book will tell the story of a little girl and her biggest wish for a new puppy.  As no surprise the books picture art features a couple of familiar faces, such as Mariah's and her famous pooch Jack.

According to TheBoomBox, the yuletide treasure from Mariah Carey will be available at Doubleday Books, just in time for the holidays on November 10. So be on the lookout!

Finally, in loving memory of Sandra Bland her city names a street after her.  The New York Times reports, July 10, Sandra Bland was stopped by a state trooper for allegedly failing to signal a lane change.

Was the stop necessary?  According to Andrea Roth, an expert in criminal procedure and assistant law professor at the University of California, Berkeley,  "Failure to use a turn signal is technically an arrestable offense in Texas, though it rarely happens."Rebecca Robertson, Texas legal and policy director for A.C.L.U.  said, “The initial stop should not have resulted in an arrest.” Rather trooper Encinia could've simply handed her a ticket.

After a brief confrontation with the officer, Bland was arrested and charged with assault.   Three days later, she was found hanging in her cell July 13th. Her death was ruled a suicide, but there is massive disputes surrounding that.  Her family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the arresting officer and wants the U.S Department of Justice to investigate her death.

Bellow is a look at the dash-cam video of her stop.

USA Today reports Prairie View City council members decided to rename University Drive, Sandra Bland Parkway.  Ironically the street leads to her alma mater Prairie View A&M University.

The council members said that by renaming the street, it will serve as a constant reminder of the injustices she suffered in Waller County.  Hopefully they can find out what REALLY happened to her.
