Surprisingly, Mary J. Blige had not yet received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but that's all about to change.

Variety reports the veteran singer will be honored with a star in the recording category, and Diddy, who was instrumental in bringing Mary's signature sound to life, will unveil the star.

“Mary J. Blige is one of the most popular singers of our generation. Fans will be thrilled to see her star on the Boulevard as her career milestones are celebrated on this very famous sidewalk,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.

This news is just the latest accomplishment on Blige's impressive resume. In addition to winning numerous Grammys, the singer is now up for a Golden Globe for her role in the Netflix film, Mudbound.

Yesterday, Blige announced that she has joined the Golden Globes "Black Dress" anti-harassment protest. The move comes in support of a new initiative, Time's Up, which is focused on supporting women who bring up harassment, sexual assault and sexual misconduct cases. Blige says her support of the cause is close to her heart.

"I am one of those women, so, you know, I don't want to go into detail about that and I haven't, but I am, and I stand with those women. I champion them," Blige said Tuesday at the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards, according to Billboard.

As for her Hollywood Star unveiling, the ceremony will take place on Jan. 11.
