He was arguably the best basketball player ever at McNeese. He finished his McNeese senior year as the 11th highest scoring player in NCAA history. Then he made his mark with the Pistons.

Detroit won two championships with Dumars. He won the 1989 Finals MVP award.  The two championships came over the Los Angeles Lakers and Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls. When his playing days were over the six times all star moved into the Detroit front office as President of Basketball Operations. He helped lead the team to the NBA Championship in 2004 and the Pistons made it to the Eastern Conference finals six years in a row. Since then the Pistons have gone 139-250.

According to Eye on Basketball Dumars has told multiple sources within the NBA that he plans to resign — possibly as soon as this week. It will be the end of a great run with the Pistons. Could a return to the Cowboys be in the works?
