Last week, Meek Mill‘s attorney, Joe Tacopina, claimed that the judge responsible for sentencing the rapper to two to four years in prison for violating his probation held a personal vendetta against his client and said she’d thrown a series of inappropriate requests at the rapper. Now, Tacopina is trying to get Judge Genece Brinkley removed from Meek Mill’s case altogether.

According to TMZ, Tacopina is filing a motion for the judge to remove herself from the case. He feels that the judge’s “bad blood” toward Meek is what ultimately led to the harsh sentence.

Some of that “bad blood” might have been Meek’s refusal to fulfill the requests of the judge in question. Tacopina claimed Judge Brinkley originally wanted Meek to create a remix to Boys II Men’s “On Bended Knee” and give her a shoutout on the track. Meek apparently declined. At another point, the judge, who Meek’s lawyer says is also from Philadelphia, told the MMG rapper to sign with her friend’s company instead of Roc Nation management. That led Tacopina to file a complaint with the judicial conduct board as well.

On the same front, Tacopina says Meek is applying to Pennsylvania’s Board of Pardons. Unfortunately for Meek, though, that’s a pretty big longshot, since that process usually takes three years. There will be a rally protesting Meek Mill’s prison sentence in front of Philadelphia’s Criminal Justice Center at 5 p.m. Monday (Nov. 13).
