Court Clerk Fired for Asking Meek Mill for Money at Hearing

Meek Mill's two-to-four-year sentencing has been full of strange events, and now, the court clerk who slipped the rapper a note asking him for money has been fired.

According to a report from TMZ, court officials say court clerk Wanda Chavarria crossed the line when she wrote a note asking Meek for money to help pay her son's college tuition. "Unfortunately with my bad credit, I am unable to secure a loan or co-sign for my son," she wrote. "Anything that you can do is very much appreciated."

Lawyers for the rapper claim Chavarria slipped the note to Meek while she was serving as clerk for Judge Genece Brinkley. Chavarria says the judge did not know about the note, but the rapper's lawyers say she verbally asked Meek for money while close to the judge.

While the clerk being fired is good news for Meek, the rapper recently suffered a minor setback when it was proven that Judge Brinkley did not advocate for the rapper to leave Roc Nation for manager Charlie Mack, an alleged friend of hers.

Court documents show that it was actually the probation officer who pushed for the rapper to leave his management team for Mack, arguing that he would be a good influence on him.

In related Meek mill news, the Philadelphia artist recently donated $10,000 to Colin Kaepernick's charity campaign. Following in the footsteps of Snoop Dogg, T.I., Chris Brown and more, Meek made his donation to Youth Services Inc., which was matched by Kaepernick for a total of $20,000.

"Despite my brother @meekmill’s current circumstances, he continues to stay connected in the community of Philly," Kaepernick tweeted. "He pledged to go 10for10 on my MillionDollarPledge. We’re both donating $10k for a combined $20k to Youth Service Inc. Keep staying strong Meek, we love you brother!"
