Michael Jackson Named Highest Paid Dead Celebrity [VIDEO]

Michael Jackson will forever be known as the King of Pop. Now according to Forbes, he's the highest paid celebrity dead or alive of 2013.

Forbes recently announced Michael Jackson is the highest earning celebrity for 2013 among the dearly departed, and on top of that he out earned every living entertainer as well.

According to their calculations, MJ raked in $160 million over the past year beating out Madonna’s $125 million amongst those performers still alive.  Among the dead celebrities, the celeb to come close was Elvis Presley with a second at $55 million.

Most of Jackson’s earnings came from the two world renowned Cirque du Soleil shows based on his music. The Immortal World Tour alone has reportedly grossed $300 million and One is a massive hit at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.  Don't get it twisted though, Michael Jackson is still earning funds from his musical catalog as well as his publishing ownership of songs by The Beatles and others.
