Migos' "Bad and Boujee" really did not need a big boost. The Atlanta trio's hit single is already the No. 1 song in the country. Still, Childish Gambino's shout-out at the 2017 Golden Globes Awards led to a huge spike in interest for the song. In fact, it led to a 243 percent increase in streams on Spotify.

The dramatic rise occurred between 7 and 9 a.m. EST today (Jan. 9), according to Spotify. That wasn't the only outlet where "Bad and Boujee" experienced increased recognition though. The song’s official audio and video racked up more than 1.2 million YouTube views on Monday (Jan. 9) in addition to 2.4 million views on Sunday (Jan. 8), which was the night of the awards show's broadcast. Viewers were searching for the lyrics too as the Genius' page for the track received 4,500 views per hour following the speech.

Childish Gambino gave the Migos a shout-out while accepting the award for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy. “I really want to thank the Migos, not for being in the show but for making ‘Bad and Boujee.’ Like that’s the best song ever,” he said.

The Atlanta creator continued to heap praise on Quavo, Offset and Takeoff during a post-show interview. Childish Gambino called the group the Beatles of this generation.

“I think they’re the Beatles of this generation, and they don’t get a lot of respect, I think, outside of like Atlanta,” he said. “There’s a generation, sort of like the YouTube generation that I kind of came up with, there’s a generation of kids that are growing up on something that is completely separate from a whole group of people. And honestly, that song’s just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”

The love from Childish Gambino assures that Migos' "Bad and Boujee" will hold onto Billboard's top spot for at least one more week. Thanks to all the newfound attention, the song could be the No. 1 song for the foreseeable future.
