Mike Epps and T.I. Are Heading to ‘The Trap’ in Their New Comedy Movie

Mike Epps and T.I. are heading to The Trap for their return to the big screen.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the new comedy film, The Trap, "tells of a man (T.I.) who returns home to Atlanta after an extended absence to help save his brother (Epps) and mother’s run-down restaurant. An unexpected change to the chicken recipe breathes new life into the restaurant but also brings unexpected problems."

Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit is set to produce the film alongside Epps’ Naptown Productions and T.I.‘s Grand Hustle Films. Chris Robinson, who also directed ATL, will take the director's seat for The Trap.

To announce the news to his fans, Epps posted a photo of the Hollywood Reporter article on his Instagram page.

"This right here is a hell of a partnership!!!! Y'all get ready. NAPTOWN FILMS in full effect. Special thanks to my team," read the caption.

Epps has been slowly making his way back to a major film over the years. Since his role as "Black Doug" in The Hangover Part III, he's had roles in Bessie, Fifty Shades of Black, Meet the Blacks and Nina. Although he's found some success on T.V. with the acclaimed Starz series, Survivor's Remorse, he was also starring in a ABC series, Uncle Buck, which was recently cancelled after one season.

Epps is also slated to play Richard Pryor in a forthcoming biopic of the comedian's life, Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?
