According to a press release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Benjamin R. Myers of Moss Bluff has been booked on fourth offense DWI.

Myers was stopped and arrested during a traffic stop by CPSO deputies on Nov. 2 at about 12 a.m. on Highway 171 North in Moss Bluff. Deputies pulled Myers over after observing his car swerving into the opposite lane several times.

According to the report, when deputies approached the car and spoke with the driver, Benjamin R. Myers,  441 Pinecone Drive, Moss Bluff, they detected his speech to be slurred and he appeared very unsteady on his feet.

The report also stated, Myers performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, and later refused to submit to a breath intoxilyzer test.

Myers has had 3 DWI arrests since 2009, he was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with his 4th DWI.

Judge Ron Ware has set his bond at $21,500.
