Movie Set Workers Hit Nick Cannon With Class Action

Today in Tha Wire Nick Cannon is catching the blame for trying to stiff some folks who worked behind the scenes on his upcoming film, She Ball. For a quick run-down on the movie, it looks like it's gonna be pretty good. The former America's Got Talent host wrote, produced, directed and is set to star in the flick as the lead character. She Ball, centers around Avery Watts who's struggling to find a balance between raising his 7-year old daughter, managing a killa women's streetball team, and saving the Inglewood Community Center all at the same time.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this flick! The plot of Nick's forthcoming film is dope, and so is the cast for that matter. She Ball doesn't have a premiere date just yet, but AllHipHop reports the pic is expected to hit theaters sometime this year, if not early 2019. I'll definitely keep my ears to the street, and bring you the details when the films release date is confirmed. Meanwhile besides Cannon, the cast is stacked with a diverse set of seasoned performers. The A-list group features artists from the world of film, music, TV, and comedy including: Marla Gibbs, Cedric The Entertainer, Chris Brown, Evan Ross, Faizon Love, Luenell, and more!

Back on the class action...at least 100 workers are behind the suit thus far, and they're pissed. TMZ reports the film crew's making all kind of accusations against the Wild 'n Out creator. They claim Nick wasn't paying them on time, shortchanged them on OT, didn't allow breaks, or provide meals. Shortly after the lawsuit made the news, TMZ's camera crew caught-up with the rapper/actor, and asked him about the class action controversy.

Cannon acknowledged there was an issue, but said it didn't have anything to do with him. He said "that's production stuff." Z's came guy came back with, "Yeah but they blame you." To which Cannon responded, "Hey they always blame the biggest name, but they'll work it out." Doesn't seem like the Hollywood mogul is the least bit bothered by the lawsuit, as you can clearly see below:
