‘Movies Under The Stars’ Lake Charles – Friday October 13, 2023

It's no secret that my favorite local pastime is, 'Movies Under The Stars!' It's a great way to unwind after a long work week and spend time with your family. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury presents this event, and every Friday this October (weather permitting), there is a new feature film.

Tonight, Friday, October 13: "Monsters University" (2013)

The animated comedy, stars lovable, funny monster bros Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal) and James P. “Sully” Sullivan (John Goodman.) These guys are walking hazards and are always getting themselves into trouble. Tonight's feature film backtracks and shows how two broskies met in college. Turns out, they couldn't stand one another.  But Mike and Sully overcame their differences when they were faced with competing against a mutual enemy:

4205 Ryan Street, Lake Charles. All movies will start at 6:30 p.m. It's first come first serve, so it's a good idea to arrive early to get a good parking spot and a good seat.

Additional treats will be provided by the CPPJ, including FREE popcorn and cotton candy at every event. Residents and their families are also invited to wear Halloween costumes to celebrate Halloween and the Fall Harvest holiday.

In the event of inclement weather, movies will be canceled. Announcement will be made via this website, on CPPJ's website at calcasieu.gov, and on CPPJ’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
