Well waking up a little late after having a great time at the 4th annual Lundi Gras, I started to get prepared for the final day of the Mardi Gras season!

Unfortunately the weather was not as amped up as I was. We got to the station at about noon to get ready to hit up the streets and see what was out there. My road dog Big Boy Chill and I hit up Botzsky's to see what all of the fuss was about, and I have to admit I was impressed. Then we went to the civic center. While the rain had subsided, it was still pretty cloudy and the temperatures were fierce on the outside. We decided to open the boxes of beads and sort everything out to make sure we had enough. The parade was a little late starting and all of the officers who were around us kept coming up trying to get some heat from out truck. We started arounf 5:30 pm and got to rolling, the parade was a little lighter then last year, but the folks who were in attendance were in full swing and ready to get plenty of the goodies. The crowd was hype even in the crazy cold weather, eventually it started to sprinkle a little outside, but those troopers we in it for the long haul. The parade was actually over by 7 o'clock and we didn't have a thing left in the truck, which for us is a good thing. I have to admit although the weather was crazy we had a good time and I have to commend everyone for coming out even during the weather. Mardi Gras 2014 is over, and we're already amped about what's to come for next year!
