As previously reported, while on tour in Japan last week Nicki Minaj found herself being named in the same sentence as two rape and murder suspects.  Two men, whom at the time of their arrest were being linked to Nicki's entourage, rapped two women and murdered one after Nicki's concert. Until now, Nicki has remained silent.  Following several reports of the tragic killing, Nicki Minaj is refuting reports that neither of the men arrested for the crime is her backup dancers.

The fan, 21-year-old Irish exchange student Nicola Furlong, was found strangled in a hotel room the morning after the concert last Wednesday.  She had reportedly gone to the hotel with a friend, Sarah Maher, and two men, James Blackston and Larry Perry.

Sarah, who survived the incident, called Tokyo police and reported that Blackston and Perry sexually assaulted both she and Nicola while at the hotel.  Both men have since been arrested and are currently in custody, according to IrishCentral.

On Wednesday, after Hollywood blogger Perez Hilton reported that Blackston, 23, was a backup dancer for Nicki Minaj, Nicki broke her silence and flatly denied that claim.

Nicki took to Twitter and made the following statement:  "@PerezHilton that person on your sight [sic] is NOT my dancer. We do NOT know the men in custody. Too much misleading information." Minaj later added that none of her dancers were questioned or arrested, and that all had flown home from Japan.

The question is, how did these guys get confused as Nicki's back-up dancers?  It could be the fact that Blackston, is a dancer who goes by "King Tight".  Apparently he has previously danced for Omarion and Marques Houston in addition to appearing in music videos by the Black Eyed Peas, Chris Brown and Jennifer Lopez. It is also completely possible that they told the ladies that they were with Nicki as well.

Nicki has also offer Furlong's family her heart felt condolences.  Once again taking to Twitter to express her feelings to the girl’s family stating  “Saddened to learn one of my precious fans; found tragically murdered in Japan. My love & prayers are with the family of Nicola Furlong.”.

Tokyo police are currently investigating the situation and as further developments arrive I will keep you posted.  Meanwhile, Tokyo police said that Nicola's friend Sarah is still in Japan, adding “She is in Tokyo and she is very shocked but her family has arrived in Japan and her mother is with her now.”

Nicola's family has also issued a statement saying “Nicola was a warm, generous, stunning person who always had time for her family and other people. Nicola will always be at the center of our lives. She stood for everything that is good in life.” She was an exchange student studying at Takasaki City University of Economics.
