Nicki Minaj Denies Being Attacked, Despite Police Reports
When news first broke that Nicki Minaj was attacked by a male companion, the rap star was quick to refute the rumors.
Minaj posted a message on her Twitter feed saying, “The fact that u believe a man either slapped or punched me in the face & didn’t leave on a stretcher w/his balls hangin off? #getaF%cknLife.” Minaj followed that with “the media could pee on ur leg & tell u its raining. You’d believe it. You’d believe u were an adopted martian if TMZ told u so. #stopit5.”
But a police report obtained by The Dallas Observer states Minaj, real name Onika Maraj, got into an argument with Safaree Samuels, her male assistant/rumored boyfriend, by the pool at the Hotel Palomar in Dallas Texas. The fight reportedly escalated in Minaj’s room when Samuels picked up a suitcase and allegedly “shoved it across [the singer’s] chin and lower lip.”
The police were called, but Minaj decided not to press charges.
