Today in Tha Wire Pacer's Chris Copeland and two other people were stabbed at a New York hot spot early Wednesday(April 8) morning.

The New York Times reports, the NBA's Chris Copeland was stabbed in the abdomen early Wednesday morning at Chelsea’s 1 OAK nightclub, just outside of Manhattan. The 31-year Indiana Pacers forward was in the NYC in preparation for a game against his former team, the New York Knicks, that's gonna go down tonight.

Allhiphop.com reports the incident is still under investigation, but according to authorities Copeland got into an argument with 22-year old Shezoy Bleary as the as the two men were leaving the club.  The New York hot spot was hosting an event featuring Detroit femcee Dej Loaf and the stabbing took place at about 4 a.m.

At some point Bleary pulled out a knife and violently stabbed Copeland in the abdomen. The basketball star isn't the only one who got a piece of the blade, as it turns out, the women with the two men where also cut during the altercation.  Though his injuries were not life threatening, Copeland was still taken to the Bellevue Hospital Center for a therough observation.

According the the New York Times, police said 28-year-old Katrine Saltara, was slashed in the right arm and breast, and she also taken to Bellevue Hospital were she's listed in stable condition.  Another woman, 53-year old Catherine Somani, sources say was with Bleary, was accidentally slashed in abdomen.  She was also taken to the hospital, but at a different location.

The New York Daily News reports Shezoy Bleary, was arrested and the knife he used in the attack has been confiscated.  Meanwhile, Atlanta Hawks Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha were both arrested for allegedly preventing police for setting a crime scene barricade.  Charges were still pending on Wednesday morning.
