Today in Tha Wire, it's going down at the Atlanta Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre this weekend. The taping for the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards is taking place, and an A-List of R&B/Hip Hop royalty will be in attendance for music's big night. According to reports, several artists from T.I., Gucci Mane, to Young Thug will all hit the stage to rep their hometown.

Other artists scheduled to perform are H-Town's Travis Scott, Desiigner, Dae Dae, D.R.A.M., Isaiah Rashad and more. All the artists joining the lineup for this year's Ciphers haven't exactly been revealed just yet, and everybody's anxious to see who they gonna be. Including me! So I will definitely keep you posted on that issue. Meanwhile, shouts out to the UNDERGROUND! Below is look at some epic talent on the underground scene!

Moving on though, Empire superstar actor Bryshere Y. Gray and The Get Down's Shameik Moore will be among the many presenters for the night and, as previously mentioned, super-producer DJ Khaled will host for the first time this year.

In case you was wondering, Snoop Dogg isn't exactly being left off the ceremony. Matter of fact, he's one of the nights honoree's. The Dogg Father of Hip Hop will be honored with the “I Am Hip Hop” Award at the 11th annual event, so be sure to tune in. That's the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards, airing on October 4 at 7 p.m. CT on all the BET Networks.
