Pick-A-Kid Annual “Fill the Backpack” Back-to-School Bash, Saturday, August 5 in Vinton, La

Vinton, La. - Pick-A-Kid's hosting their 4th annual back-to-school bash, “Fill the Backpack," on Saturday, August 5, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the Ward 7 Recreation Center in Vinton, located at 1615 Horridge Street. The event helps children in the Vinton area who need assistance obtaining school supplies for the new school year.

There will be free food and games like "human hungry hippo" that I witnessed in person on last year, and the kids had a blast playing! Most importantly there will be plenty of school supplies to be given away.

Byron Woods of Vintage Replay will also be on hand to teach students how to "turn old shoes into new creations." So bring an old pair of shoes to customize!
