Police raided rapper Lil Wayne's Miami Beach mansion on Tuesday (Nov. 3), with a court order to seize property inside of the home.

The Huffington Post reports that Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter Jr., was previously sued by Signature Group for failing to pay a $55,000-per-month lease on his Gulfstream II.  After a judge ruled that Wayne had to pay up $2 million in late fees and court costs, the only way the company could recover their money was by providing the court with proof their were assets inside the mansion.

Signature Group managed to obtain the proof they needed to collect, and a Miami-Dade County judge authorized a “break order” on Friday, giving police permission to raid Weezy’s home. The raid happened with our without permission to repossess assets from the beach mansion, said Huff Post.

The reportedly unoccupied mansion is up for sale.
