Pre- K And Kindergarten Registration In Calcasieu Parish

Whether you're ready or not classes will soon be in session for children in Calcasieu Parish.  Pre-K and kindergarten registration is in full swing and you can get the details here.

Fall school year is fastly approaching and elementary school personnel are getting ready for the 2014-2015 school year and will begin official kindergarten registration the last week of July and into August.

It's important for parents to know each school is responsible for setting its own registration date.  Use this link to locate your child's school website to view specific dates and times of registration.

If your child is attending a Ward 3 school a permit to register from the office of Child Welfare and Attendance will be required at registration time.  In addition, a permit is still required for Pre-K students, even though they will automatically roll over to kindergarten at their in-zone school.

Children eligible to attend kindergarten must be 5 on or before Sept. 30th this year.
