Press Release: CPSO Makes Arrest in Connection with Lake Charles Murder
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested Dwane E. Fox, 47, of Lake Charles for the murder of Mychele Cleaver, 48, found in a ditch just east of Tom Hebert Road in Lake Charles on January 10. Read more here in a press release from CPSO.
On January 10, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Friesen Road, just east of Tom Hebert Road in Lake Charles, regarding a deceased woman, later identified as Mychele Cleaver, 48, found in a ditch.
When deputies arrived, they discovered Cleaver had sustained trauma to the head.
During further investigation, CPSO detectives spoke with Dwane E. Fox, 47, 4016 Harvard Street, Lake Charles, boyfriend of Cleaver, who confirmed to beating and choking Cleaver at his home and later dumping her body in the ditch near Friesen Road.
Fox was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2nd degree murder and is being held without bond.
