Comedy Central has released the latest clip from an all-new season premiere of one of my all-time favorite animated shows, South Park.  On the season’s opening episode, show creators and the voices of most of the characters, Matt Stone and Trey Parker play offense in the on-going debate that the NFL’s Washington Redskins should change their name and trademark logo because it is offensive to Native Americans.  Earlier this year the U.S. Patent Office stripped away six of the NFL team’s trademarks.

When the US patent office cancelled the Washington Redskins trademark earlier this year in a bid to force the team to change its offensive name and logo, it made it much easier for other people to use the organization's branding to advertise their own products or services. The latest person to do just that is a fat little animated ten-year-old named Eric Cartman. — TheVerge.com

The new season of South Park will air on Wednesday, Sept. 24th on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. If you tend to miss like I do, just watch it the following day here.
