Fans and artists alike were devastated when they heard the tragic news that Prince was found dead inside his Paisley Park compound on April 21. But the music legend’s sister, Tyka Nelson, revealed that she was preparing for her brother’s death two years prior.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nelson said that she's been in mourning for two years after Prince told her that he would die very soon. “I knew that it was coming,” she revealed. “He said it a couple of years ago. ‘I’ve done everything that I’ve come to do.’ I was crushed for about two years.”

Six months after Prince's death, fans are still grieving over the late musician. For anyone who is still in mourning, Nelson offered some advice. “I’ve had two years to deal with it, but there’s a lot of people that have only had from April to now. So I guess I would say give it another year and a half and maybe you’ll be where I’m at.”

Hopefully, fans will get a chance to visit Prince's Paisley Park museum in Minneapolis. After a slight delay, Paisley Park will open under a temporary permit today (Oct. 6) - and two other dates - instead of daily as originally planned.

City council members in Chanhassen, a Minneapolis suburb, delayed action on rezoning because of concerns about public safety and traffic. It's unclear when the museum will be allowed to begin full-scale tour operations, but the council said it would vote on the issue again "on or before" Dec. 20.

Tyka Nelson vows to keep Prince's musical legacy alive with the Paisley Park museum and make sure that his music - which includes over 2,000 unheard songs - gets properly released.

"He’s written a massive amount of music and in one of our conversations, he said, ‘How I want to be remembered is as one of the most prolific writers in the world,” she said. “So I’m going to do everything that I can to make that dream come true.”
