Prodigy of the group Mobb Deep has died at the age of 42 years old. While some of the newer generation is not familiar with the hard lyrics and production that he contributed to. Those of us who were true hip hop fans from back in the day remember hearing "Quiet Storm" booming through the speakers and watching the video on Rap City or Yo! MTV Raps.

Now we have to place him on a list of so many other greats in the hip hop world whom we have lost. What's crazy is that he was currently on tour with Havoc of Mobb Deep, Ice -T and others for The Art Of War Tour in Vegas. He released a very telling book "The Infamous Life" The Autobiography of Mobb Deeps Havoc which was released in 2011. The movie talked about his child hood and his rise to being one of the biggest hip hop stars in the industry.

According to TMZ Prodigy was suppose to meet with fans for an autograph session and also an after party as well. He mentioned to some of his associates that he wasn't feeling well and they took him to the hospital. He will truly be missed and his music will forever live on.
