Two hip-hop veterans have tied the knot. Congratulations to Professor Griff of Public Enemy and Solé for getting married.

The couple revealed the big news in an Instagram photo posted by Solé. "Mr. & Mrs Shah ❤️ 8.27.17 #9," she wrote. Griff and Solé appear in wedding attire while taking part in a special moment at the ceremony.

In another Instagram photo from earlier this month, Solé also detailed how her and Professor Griff's relationship blossomed into marriage. "Aug. 11, 2017 ✨ today marked one year to the day that @professorgriff and I reconnected and had lunch as friends," writes Solé. "We had no clue what would ensue. At the time we had known each other for 27 years but he was always like my big brother. After that lunch though, something changed... and a beautiful plutonic friendship based on love and mutual respect, began blossoming into a beautiful, romantic relationship based on that foundation."

Solé is the ex-wife of singer Ginuwine. They share two daughters together.

Outside of music and marriage, earlier this year, Griff called out President Trump for his unwillingness to meet with Black citizens who weren't celebrities during his initial days in office. “You meeting with all these Black people, won’t you meet with some real Black people that can really sit back and sit down with you that make some damn sense,” Griff said. “I ain’t taking shots at Kanye Mess and Steve Harvey and the rest of these cats, but c’mon man.”
