CeeLo Green rubbed fans the wrong way in Little Rock, Ark. the wrong way Saturday (May 24) when he cut his performance shockingly short.  The Goodie Mob rapper/singer was a part of the line-up at Riverfest an annual event that draws thousands of fans each year.

Concert promoter Cheddy Wigginton told TMZ CeeLo was contractually obligated to perform for 75 minutes, but he walking off the stage after only 40.  Wiggintion said to make matters worse, he showed up 35 minutes late.  The promoter said his contract with CeeLo stipulated that the Goodie Mob member would get half his money up front, which was about $50,000 and the rest after his set.

In other news legendary poet and memoirist Maya Angelou died early this morning at her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She was 86 years old.  Her longtime literary agent, Helen Brann confirmed the said news.  Though the cause of death is unknown at this time, Ms. Brann said Maya Angelou had been in frail health for some time and in addition had heart problems.  As more is known I will keep you posted.

Finally, 50 Cent was on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, if you wanna call it that, at Citi Field.  Let’s just say 50 is no athlete as is his pitch was waaaaaaay outside.  

The rapper/actor was a good sport about the situation though. The Animal Ambition creator laughed as he walked off the mound and later talked about the wild pitch.
