Proud Father Moment As Son Is A Week Away From Graduation[PHOTO]

First off let me say congratulations to all of the 2016 seniors who will be walking that line this year. There have already been a few who have walked. And I want to say congratulations on graduating. I am sure that this is only the beginning of what you have to offer.

Now let me tell you how proud I am to have my son graduate from Barbe High School. When my wife and I first moved to Lake Charles. He was only about 3 years old. So to see him now being 18 years old and getting ready to take on the world. It makes me more then proud of this.

Earlier today my church Christian Baptist Church held their annual graduation celebration. This was a reality check for me. While I have always been the cool parent, who realized that this time would come But I think I really found out that this is true and really happening. I have to give major acknowledgement to all of the graduates today and also to Cary Chavis who really brought a wonderful message to the kids and even the parents. This is kind of hard for parents, but we have to know that this time will come and we need to be ready. So I say to parents who have babies now. Enjoy this moment and be ready because the years for my son have flown by and you may be next in line. Good Luck to all of the graduates and be ready for what life has to offer.
