With the 2016 Presidential Election finally drawing to a close today (Nov. 8), Florida's 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East and Design Militia have released a four-minute promo urging the Black community to go out and vote. Titled, "“11.08.16 / It’s Time,” the clip makes no endorsement of a candidate, but rather compels those who think their voice doesn't matter in the election to take the time out of their day and vote. The foundation tapped big names in the hip-hop community like Pusha T, T.I., Jay Electronica and more to drive the message home while shots of Black people young and old are shown.

"My people, it's time. It's time that we end this mass incarceration system. It's time that we fix this flawed criminal justice system. It's time that we let our people go," says Pusha in the opening of the video.

"How long is it going to take for us to realize that it's on me and you to take control of our life circumstances, individually and as a community?" asks Jay Elec through a gold grill.

"It's time to begin to accept responsibility and accountability for our actions," says Tip with his most stern, scientific voice.

Other hip-hop appearances in the spot include rapper Lajan Slim and singer/actor Rotimi, along with prominent activist Sybrina Fulton, the mother of the late Trayvon Martin. Even 2016 XXL Freshman Kodak Black's voice is heard in the clip (a recorded message he sent from behind bars).

Rappers have been very vocal during this election cycle. With Barack Obama, arguably the most hip-hop-loved president to ever hold the position leaving office, many big names like Jay Z, Pusha T and Pharrell have openly campaigned for Hillary Clinton for president.
