According to TMZ, concert promoter Darryl Austin booked R. Kelly to perform in Dallas early this year.  Austin claims in January he hand delivered a check for $100,000 to Kelly's management.   A month later when it came down to finalizing all the details about the show, Austin says Kells people played dumb.

It gets better, Austin claims he got his deposit back BUT it was a little short.  Listen to Tha Wire below for all the details on that.

By the way the show was supposed to go down in April.  If they can somehow work it out, there's still time to make it happen.  Keep you posted on that one.

Finally, last week BET.com reported that Jay Z made another power move and finalized a $56 million dollar deal with the Swedish tech company, Aspiro for the purchase of their music streaming service TIDAL.  Some of the things that separates Tidal from the competition, is the quality of the music streaming.  It has a much higher bit-rate, meaning it will appeal to audiophiles. The service will also get exclusive early access to new music. Speaking of which, word has it Kanye West will make his album available exclusively to TIDAL for a limited time.

Today, BET.com reports Hov plans to make a "special announcement" over Live Stream at about 4 p.m. CT.   If you wanna check it out in real time, click here.  In addition to hosting a private event in New York to celebrate TIDAL's arrival to the U.S., Roc Nations finest like Rihanna and Beyoncé have changed their Instagram avatars to reveal a hashtag #TIDALforALL to show support.  Roc friends like Taylor Swift have already made their music available on the site.
