49-year old rap legend Biz Markie is looking good these days.  In an effort to control his high-blood pressure and diabetes, the big man 141 pounds thanks to a healthy diet like eating organic foods, cooking healthy meals at home and daily exercise.  However, the Biz had a secret weapon to help him get threw it.  Get all the details now with Tha Wire.

The rapper has slimmed down from 385 to 244 pounds and plans on droppin an additional 30 more before his 50th birthday next April.  Biz said of his weight loss, “I walk. I do the treadmill, I walk around the mall,” he told the New York Daily News. “I do a little crunches with my stomach, not that much. Just enough to get the engine going cha-cha-cha-cha-cha-cha! Vroooommmmm.”

In other news, it congrats to Arsenio Hall as his return to late night TV was a colossal success.  Started off with a bang The Arsenio Hall Show beat out its competitors in the 25 biggest markets.  Here's a look at the break-down: The Arsenio Hall Show averaged a 1.0 rating in the coveted 18 to 49 demographic compared to Jimmy Kimmel’s 0.8, Jay Leno’s 0.6, and David Letterman’s 0.5.

Finally in more good news, Hip Hop’s legendary Femcee MC Lyte is finally getting her props and will join Nas, KRS-One, Russell Simmons, Ice Cube, Salt-N-Pepa, and Rakim as an honoree of the “I Am Hip Hop Award” at this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards.

MC Lyte is one of the most celebrated female emcees in rap history, which she is my undisputed favorite.
