Who knew rapper/actor Common, had an eye for furniture design?  Apparently he does, and in January the Chi-Town MC will host a new reality show called, Framework.

Common is a man of many talents.  He's a rap pioneer, known for his poetic, continuous and political rhymes. In 2002 the rapper made his first big screen appearance in, Brown Sugar, and proved to the world that he was working with a lot more than blessing the mic. Today Common is an accomplished rapper and actor and soon he'll put his hosting skills to the test.  According to AllHipHop, the superstar will host and judge the first-ever furniture design competition coming to Spike TV.

Premiering Tuesday, January 6 at 9 p.m. CT., the rapper/actor will host a unique reality show, centered around 13 aspiring furniture makers.  Indiewire reports the new series entitled Framework, will be a fierce competition in which the contestants will compete for the grand prize of $100,000 and the chance to have their furnishings sold by a major furniture manufacturer.

Spike TV explained contestants will be judged by the way they “work with unconventional materials and will be asked to rethink classic deigns and demonstrate their creativity.” From there, each week one contestant will be eliminated, until the last master builder standing wins it all.
