Here is some of the latest news of things that are going on in Lake Charles that you may need to be aware of. The resident Resource Center at Henry Heights Recreation Center, 801 East School Street remains open to the public. The center will be open from 10 am- 4pm on the following days for your use.

  • Monday, November 2nd
  • Wednesday, November 4th
  • Friday, November 6th
  • Saturday, November 7th

The Resident Resource Center will be open to allow residents the opportunity to speak one-on-one with representatives from the Louisiana Department of Insurance's (LDI) Office of Consumer Advocacy and Diversity.

These representatives are on hand to assist with educating residents on understanding their terms of their insurance policies and giving insight on the claim filing and adjusting process. If you need additional information, you can call 800-259-5300.

On November 2nd, Pujo Street, between Louisiana Avenue and Bank street will be closed to vehicular traffic. This closure is being implemented to allow crews to remove and replace existing underground drainage pipe. This closure is only during working hours and will be lifted at 4 pm daily. The closure is expected to last until 4 pm on Friday, November 13th.
