Rick Ross is not going to let a drive-by shooting keep him down. On Monday night (Jan. 28), his birthday, a track surfaced featuring Rozay spitting a new freestyle over Kendrick Lamar's 'Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe.' The song is apropos considering what transpired prior that day.

As we previously reported, Ross was shot at by unknown gunmen while driving in his Rolls Royce. He just left his 37th birthday party at Club LIV in Miami before the incident happened. Thankfully, the Miami rapper is still alive although he did demolish his car after it crashed into an apartment building.

The song was probably recorded before his harrowing incident as Rozay raps about his Grammy nomination, his accomplishments and those nagging haters.

"Sometime I look in the mirror / I can't believe I'm alive / Disrespectful to n----s who want to take me alive / Wishing death on you n----s who never see eye to eye / Somehow I pray for you n----s at the same time," he raps.

Members of the hip-hop community feel it's time for Ross to protect himself. Rappers like 50 Cent are often being chauffeured around in bulletproof vehicles for added protection.

"I think the next step for Ross to take is security. Lots and lots of security," said Brian "B.Dot" Miller of Rap Radar to MTV News. "There is no shame in having security depending on your level of celebrity. Certain artists just can't do things that regular people can do."

In the end, we send positive vibes to Rick Ross and his family. Increase the peace and stop the violence.
