Each week we update you on the latest road closures in Lake Charles, and beginning on Monday, January 15, there are a few closures drivers should take heed to before heading out to start your week, via the City of Lake Charles.

Monday, Jan. 15, at 8 a.m., the intersection of W. 18th Street and Hayes Street will be temporarily closed through Friday, Jan. 26. This closure is in place to allow street repairs. Drivers should adhere to posted detour signs.

Monday, Jan. 15, the inside lanes of Broad Street, between Enterprise and Moss Streets, will be temporarily closed. This closure is estimated to last for one week to allow street repairs. Both outside lanes will remain open for traffic. Drive with caution.

Tuesday, Jan. 16, the southbound traffic on Lake Street between McNeese Street and Country Club Road will be suspended for a street reconstruction project. The northbound lane will remain open. Southbound traffic will be detoured east on McNeese Street and then south on Country Club Road to Lake Street. The project is estimated to last through September 2018. Businesses and residents will continue to have access while the construction takes place. Drivers should adhere posted detour signs.
