From the office of the City of Lake Charles, beginning Tuesday, November 10, road closures are scheduled for the 2000-2100 block of Theriot Street, and the 900 block of Bilbo Street near City Hall.

The 2000 and 2100 Block of Theriot Street, between Pear and N. Booker Streets, will be closed to thru traffic beginning Tuesday, November 10 through Friday, November 13. The purpose of the temporary closure is to restore roadway and driveways removed during installation of the new storm drainage system.

The 900 Block of Bilbo Street, between Pujo and Kirby Streets, will be closed beginning Monday, November 16 and lasting through Wednesday, November 18. The purpose of the temporary closure is to install fiber optic network cable connecting Lake Charles City Hall to the 9-1-1 building on Hodges Street.

On these days, drivers can approach City Hall from the north on Broad Street or Pujo Street or from the west on Ryan Street. The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception will be accessible from the south on Kirby Street, and weekend access will not be interrupted. - City of Lake Charles

Only local traffic is allowed in the area during construction. Drive with caution, and follow the posted detour signs.
