Get familiar with the name Roman GianArthur, you're going to be seeing it a lot soon. A member of Janelle Monae's Wondaland Arts Society collective, GianArthur is a singer-songwriter, composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist and producer. But with all of that musical talent he doesn't call himself as musician.

"I don't really describe myself as musician too often," he tells The Boombox. "I just try to think of myself like a champion of relationships between people. I try to use music as a vehicle to do that."

This musical champion of relationships shows us what he means when he performed for an intimate but lively crowd that included Janelle Monae and Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding at MSR Studios in New York City.

For the latest installment in The Boombox's Live Bytes live music performance series, GianArthur tears up the stage doing original music like his ode to reciprocity in lovemaking 'I-69,' and amazing reinterpretations of other artists' material like his mashup of Radiohead's 'High and Dry' and D'Angelo's 'Send It On.'
