Nearly one year after Schoolboy Q announced on Twitter that his next album was 90 percent complete, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith announced on Twitter that Schoolboy Q's next album is... 90 to 95 percent complete.

Tiffith offered the vaguely discouraging progress report on Tuesday (July 31) in response to a fan quipping about Q's previous status update. In September 2017, the "That Part" rapper tweeted, "I said once my album 90% done I was going back 2 da gym.... well I'm back!!!"

The TDE chief called last fall's prediction "fake news." When asked about the "real news," he replied, "90 to 95 % done." Not much else is known about the project.

Quincy dropped his last full-length Blank Face LP back in July 2016. Over the last year, he guested on A$AP Mob's "Bahamas," TDE's Black Panther soundtrack cut "X," labelmate SiR's single "Something Foreign," DJ Esco's Future-assisted track "Code of Honor" and Kamaiyah's song "Addicted to Ballin'."

Though relatively quiet in the booth, Schoolboy has stayed busy on the road, wrapping TDE's Championship Tour in June and headlining the 2018 Smokers Club Festival in April.
