Middays with Gina Cook
107 JAMZ’s “Midday Diva” Gina Cook was born in Boston, Mass., but has been a Lake Charles resident since the 8th grade. She’s been ruling the middle of the days on radio stations across the South since 1991. She first started her career at KXZZ (Z-16, 1580 AM) with Rob Neal and Kevin Nash before working with Rockin’ Sidney at KAOK 1400 AM. She was part of the very first air staff at KZWA 105.3 under Randolph Walker in Lake Charles before joining the staff of WTUG 92.9 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Gina held down the #1 midday show in Charleston, S.C. at WXST Star 99.7 for three years before returning home to help start 107.5 (first known as KVEE) on August 7, 2000. Gina has been a 12-year veteran with the station, which is now 107 JAMZ. She is happily married with two beautiful children and is an graduate of Lake Charles-Boston High School and the Delta School of Business.
