Who could say no to this face?  This gorgeous young lady is Snappy! She's an American Pit Bull Terrier and truly deserves and needs of a loving family/owner to call her own. Unfortunately dogs with white coats can have a tendency to be deaf.  This is Snappy's case. Because of her condition, her previous owner gave up on her and left her on the side of the road.  Thankfully Snappy was found by Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue and given a second chance at life.

Her owner either, knew she was deaf or thought she was hard-headed and wouldn't listen. Though Snappy is deaf, she's extremely intelligent, knows sign language, loves people and other dogs, and because of all of the above she'll make anyone a wonderfully loyal companion.  The American Pit Bull Terrier has been given a bad rap.  Yes, this dog breed can be a problem IF they have a BAD OWNER.  However historically these dogs are very loving, very family oriented, perfect with kids, extremely loyal and live to please their owner.

Snappy is a great dog and she's less than a year old, so she'll be able to grow with her new family and kids.  Please don't let the fact that Snappy is deaf scare you off.  The truth is, a dog that is deaf is much more in-tune with you.  They pay more attention to you and their surroundings.  Check-out the video below and see how life with a dog that's deaf, isn't bad at all.
